Solo Martial Arts Training
Solo training can be one of the most rewarding experiences in the Martial Arts, especially if you study a traditional style. In your solo time you can experiment with new techniques and ideas. And best of all, no one sees you mess-up. This page is dedicated to the creature known as the Solo Trainer.
To truly Solo Train means more than being alone. Solo Training involves the mind-set that you are your master, teacher, and sensei. Solo Training requires ingenuity to replicate the experience of training with a partner. The Solo Martial Artist is a rare breed.
Before I go any deeper into this page, I want to recommend a book by Master Loren W. Christensen titled, Solo Training. Master Christensen shares my love of solo training and gives heaps of advice in his book.
